Welcome to Sacred Heart at Monastery Hill

Welcome to the 2021 School Year

Sacred Heart Primary School is a Parish primary school, providing a Catholic education to the families of Sacred Heart Parish, Croydon.

Education in Faith is our starting point in developing the whole child.  The education framework, Horizons of Hope, sees learning in our Catholic school as a journey of endless possibilities, where students are energised to seek meaning and explore questions about the world around them. At the heart of our school is the desire for the full flourishing of each of our students - their religious, physical, cognitive, emotional and social learning.

This is complimented and strengthened through our learning and teaching programs underpinned by the Victorian Curriculum. The Learning Areas and Capabilities within the curriculum focus on developing the core set of skills and knowledge required by learners for effective social development, active and informed citizenship and life-long learning.

The partnership between home and school is vital in the education of our students. Such a partnership can only come to fruition through effective communication, goodwill and highly effective staff working with families for the benefit of each child.  This is what we can offer you in the unique environment of ‘Monastery Hill’.

We look forward to having the opportunity to share with you what learning at Sacred Heart is about and encourage you to explore our 12 new contemporary learning spaces which were officially opened in September 2018.

You are warmly invited to come up and have a look.
